17.05.2019 The event "NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM-2019", dedicated to the Year of Youth of Kazakhstan

The Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 17, from 6.00 pm to 12.00 pm, holds the event “NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM-2019” dedicated to the Year of Youth of Kazakhstan. The motto of the museum night is “Youth. Initiatives. Achievements".

"Night at the museum"-2019The youth wing, which will be presented in the Museum “We are the future of Kazakhstan”, will acquaint visitors with creative, scientific, author's works, projects, ideas of students of higher educational institutions and colleges. Students whose performance is outstanding, graduates of higher educational institutions of Almaty, winners and laureates of Republican and International festivals, competitions, Olympiads and student Universiade will be invited to the Walk of Fame.

At this museum night, Almaty citizens and city visitors will be offered interesting interactive programs - exhibitions from the museum’s fund collections and private collections, meetings and workshops from the masters of Kazakhstan, Turkey and Indonesia:

• The exhibition "History of Kazakh written language" from the funds of the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan will acquaint visitors with photographic materials and archival documents written in Latin, Cyrillic, rare manuscripts and editions with Arabic script in Kazakh;

• The personal exhibition “Turan” by the graphic-artist, Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Fatima Tarazi will demonstrate the artist’s author’s projects - from creating stage, concert, national costumes for the international song festival “Asia Dauysy” to works of graphic art to Kazakh folk tales and epic "Manas";

• The exhibition of batik “My Silk Road” and master classes in origami from Zhanar Nuketayeva;

• The exhibition “The Art of Mosaics of Turkish Masters / SEHER ALTINER & MOSAIC ALMATY GROUP”. Artists will hold master classes on the art of mosaic for everyone;

• Guests of the museum night of this year will be musicians and masters from the exotic country of Indonesia, who will demonstrate traditional dances and music, and Mrs. Venny A. Alamsyakh will hold a master class on the art of batik painting;

• Fair of works of authors, artists and designers;

• Presentation of the saka suit from artist D. Baidralin.

06.05.2019 A charity event “Memory in our hearts” dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On 6 May, 2019, from 14.00 to 18.00 the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, jointly with the "KS-production" Production Center and the Charitable Foundation for Disabled Persons of Kazakhstan "Land of Good Deeds" on the eve of the Victory Day holds a charity event “Memory in our hearts” dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.    

The event has become a tradition for the museum, in which World War II veterans of different districts of Almaty will participate. In 2018, the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized an event for veterans of the Medeu district, and in this year at the event will be veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the labor front of Zhetysu district.        

Victory Day is a holiday that is dear to every Kazakhstani. Every year, less and less veterans remain among us, who can tell about the most difficult and cruel of all wars ever experienced by humanity. The memory of the dead is sacred and this event brings up a great feeling of patriotism. Meeting with veterans of the Great Patriotic War provides an opportunity for the younger generation to join the historical past of our country, fosters love for the Motherland and feelings of gratitude and respect for veterans.

On this memorable day, the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan prepared for the veterans a festive program: a concert with the participation of the National Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who will perform songs of the war years. Honoring the veterans with gifts from sponsors and partners of the museum who supported this action: Viktor Aleksandrovsky – finalist of the International battle of extrasensory individuals, LLP "Bostan", IE "Gezaro", LLP "Aksai Nan", LLP "Magnum Cash & Carry", LLP "Lemonadoff Food", "Oner" Publishing House, JSC "Alatau Kus", "ZUGO HOME TEXTILE", LLP "VITA BOTTLERS KAZAKHSTAN", Academy of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As part of the event, the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan also prepared the exhibition “Weapons of the Great Patriotic War”, which will acquaint with Soviet and German fascist small arms.

18.03.2019 The festival “Colours of Nauryz”

On March 18, 2019, at 12:00, the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan holds the festival “Colours of Nauryz”, dedicated to the holiday “Nauryz Meiramy”.

The revived ancient holiday Nauryz harmoniously blended into modern life and began to play a major role in strengthening mutual respect, social stability and accordance in society. This is a spring holiday, presenting the beginning of everything, the revival of nature, the triumph of the light forces of good, love and fertility. From immemorial time, the celebration of Nauryz was accompanied by mass celebrations and folk games ("Kyz Kuu", "Aykysh-Uykysh", "Audaryspak", "Togyz kumalak" and others), traditional equestrian competitions ("Baige", "Zhorga Zharys", "Kokpar"), songs, kyuis and dances. In the days of the Nauryz celebration, the fulfillment of traditional rituals and customs, such as “Tusaukeser” (“cutting the put”), “Besikke salu”, etc., has an important place in the life of the Kazakhs.

The festival “Colours of Nauryz”The festival “Colours of Nauryz” has become a traditional annual event of the Central State Museum and is a symbol of the common cultural traditions of the people of Kazakhstan.

On this festive day, the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will present to the visitors an exhibition of objects from the museum’s fund collection “Syr saktagan sandyktar ...”, (Chests keeping secrets) as well as an exhibition of artists and sculptors of Kazakhstan “Koktem shuagy” (painting, drawing, sculpture and applied works - Zh. Kerimbek, Turbay Muratbek, R. Suleimenov, A. Baidaralina, D. Baidaralin, E. Ahaev, E. Asembayuly, E. Sharapova, M. Korkut, Omran Sheikhmus, M. Gribova, K. Tulakbaeva, A. Mankeev, K. Ongarova).

Especially for socially unprotected categories of the population - children-orphans and pupils of correctional schools of the city, excursions will be organized and interactive museum lessons “Secrets of Grandma's Chest”, “To the World of Traditional Kazakh Culture” will be held on the basis of the exposition devoted to the works of artist N.G. Khludov, introducing with ethnography and life of the Kazakhs; theatrical performances, demonstrating Kazakh traditions and customs, one of which is the wedding custom "Betashar"; demonstration of national Kazakh clothes from the Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after O. Tansykbaev; Concert with the participation of musical groups and ensembles.

Museum visitors will be interested to take part in the performance by artist A. Toleubaeva - batik painting with colors of festive dastarkhan. The event will be attended and will present their collections fashion salons "Azharly", "Uldana Kazax".

Master classes for everyone on various types of needlework and traditional crafts will be organized from masters of decorative and applied art and leading artists of Kazakhstan, as well as from students and teachers of the Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after O. Tansykbaev.

Traditional Central Asian exhibition-fair of folk crafts "Silk Road"On 3 - 5 May, 2019 the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with "Bakhyt" Center for Decorative and Applied Art holds traditional Central Asian exhibition-fair of folk crafts "Silk Road", with craftsmen from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Mongolia and Georgia will participate.    

The Great Silk Road is a historically established international trade route of the peoples of the East and the West, which played a major role in the development of the economic and cultural ties of peoples. Traders and buyers from different countries of the world hurried to the noisy, colorful Oriental bazaar. Ancient cultural traditions successfully continue to develop today.

The participants will present a huge selection of gift and souvenir products: clothes, jewelry, musical instruments, oriental miniatures, carpets, felt and silk products, textiles and knitwear, embroidery, amulets and leather goods for home, for family.

Within the framework of this event, the International Student Competition "Art Bazar - the Great Silk Road", timed to the article of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe ”, as well as master classes, lottery drawing with lots from masters of decorative and applied arts will take place.

The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the Center for Decorative and Applied Arts "Bakhyt", on March 1-3, 2019, holds the traditional Central Asian exhibition-fair of folk crafts, "The Time of Tulips", which annually brings together talented masters of decorative and applied arts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan , Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Mongolia and Georgia.
