Cultural and educational events of the museum for 2023-2024
The cultural and educational activities of the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan are aimed at organizing various events within the walls of the museum, organizing creative evenings dedicated to the memorable dates of outstanding people of the country, as well as popularizing the museum through cultural and educational work and developing projects, establishing relationships with institutions, organizing various forms of work, events, exhibitions, festivals, presentations.
The Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan worked closely with the Union of Writers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Library, T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, etc.
Significant events for our country were held:

On January 31, 2023, a memorable evening was held dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Kazakh classic, laureate of the state prize Bakkozhi Mukai.

On February 14, 2023, a cultural event was held dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Kazakh television entitled “65th anniversary of Kazakh television: history on film.”

In order to attract visitors, on March 17, 2023, the anniversary evening “Mangilik Mura (Eternal Heritage)” was held, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Mukan Tolebayev.

On June 5, 2023, a summer camp “MUSEUM FOR CHILDREN” was organized on the basis of the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Schoolchildren from all over the city were attracted to the camp.

On November 17, 2023, with the direct support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central Museum, together with educational institutions of the ministry, held a cultural and educational evening “Evening at the Museum” on Student’s Day.

On December 6, a literary and educational evening “Man of the Country - Akan Seri” was held, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Akan Seri Koramsauly.

On December 13, the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a cultural event “The Beginning of Independence - December” and the opening of the exhibition “December - Echoes of Independence”, dedicated to the events of December 1986”.

On December 19, 2023, the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the competition of Almaty city musicians and singers “Kairan, Naryn...”, organized to mark the 220th anniversary of the birth of one of the outstanding representatives of folk poetry of the 19th century, musician, composer Makhambet Otemisuly. 30 students from different educational institutions took part in the competition.

As part of the significant date, the Central Museum organized the #Makhambet220Challenge. The challenge was initiated by the People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, famous musician Aigul Ulkenbaeva, who performed the “Zhumyr kilysh” kyui on an exact copy of Makhambet Utemisuly’s dombra. Kuishi and traditional singers, philharmonic groups and orchestras, inspired by the spirit of our national hero Makhambet, continued the challenge, which was attended by more than 1,000 people from 27 creative groups. On behalf of the staff of the Central Museum, the participants of the challenge were awarded a letter of gratitude from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On February 15, 2024, a cultural and educational event was held dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the film director, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan and the USSR Shaken Aimanov “A Bright Star of Kazakh Cinema”, laureate of State Prizes Sh. Aimanov. As part of the event, the opening of an exhibition organized jointly with “Kazakhfilm” film studio named after Sh. Aimanov took place.On March 15, 2024, the event “A country that respects the elders is blessed” took place. At the event “A country that respects the elders is blessed” representatives of the older generation who worked for many years and contributed to the development of culture at the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan were honored.

On March 29, 2024, a cultural event “A virtuosa of Kazakh National Music” was held, dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the birth of the musicologist-ethnographer, composer, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Alexander Viktorovich Zatayevich.
