On 23 September 2026 at 11:00 a.m., as part of the celebrations marking Almaty City Day, the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will host a cultural event entitled «Omiri onege, esimi mangi», dedicated to the memory of Maigul Ibragimkyzy Kazturganova, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, renowned soloist of the «Otyrar Sazy» Orchestra, and a prominent figure in Kazakhstan’s national art.

The main aim of the event is to highlight Maigul Kazturganova’s creative contribution to the development of Kazakh national musical art, preserve the memory and legacy of this outstanding artist, and pass on her rich creative heritage to younger generations.

The event will showcase the distinctive features of traditional Kazakh song and national instrumental music. Particular attention will be given to Maigul Kazturganova’s creative journey, her artistry as a performer, and her special place in the history of national culture.

As part of the exhibition, Maigul Kazturganova’s daughter will formally donate a collection of family heirlooms to the museum. The exhibition will feature the artist’s stage costumes, personal belongings, photographs, and other valuable items associated with her artistic career.

The concert programme will feature performances by artists and soloists of the Nurgisa Tlendiev’s Academic Folklore and Ethnographic Orchestra «Otyrar Sazy». The musicians will perform works from the traditional Kazakh repertoire of vocal and instrumental music.

Maigul Kazturganova’s creative journey, characterized by her dedication to art and devotion to national music, serves as an inspiring example for future generations of artists and cultural figures.
