Rules for visiting the museum

  • Please buy a ticket at the museum's ticket office and save it until the end (The ticket is valid for the entire day when it was purchased); for group visitors (up to 20 people), please book the tour in advance and inform the name of the hall and the language of the tour by phone +7 (727) 2 64-55-77 (the number of tour organization department).
  • Please specify the schedule and opening hours on public and national holidays in advance. Information about the museum's opening hours, as well as exhibitions and events, can be found on the museum's official website (https://csmrk.kz) or on the museum's social media pages (links to them at the bottom of the site pages).
  • Please observe the opening hours and rules of the museum. Follow the recommendations from a museum employee. The sale of entrance tickets stops at 17.30. Please, calculate the time of your visit in advance.
  • If there are visitors with special needs in your group, please inform the guide or the museum attendant in advance that you need help with movement and provision of special services (for example, an excursion or a lesson for visually impaired and hard of hearing people).
  • Visitors who are eligible for benefits must present an appropriate document.
  • The elderly, the disabled and minor children must be accompanied by relatives or friends.
  • In order to protect cultural relics, we ask you to consciously observe the following provisions:
  • Please go through the security check.
    • All backpacks must be checked before entering the museum.  Flammable, explosive elements, toxic substances, narcotic substances, weapons and measuring instruments and other dangerous items are strictly prohibited.
    • It is forbidden to carry suitcases and all parcels larger than 40 cm into exposition halls.  The museum offers free storage in a specially designated place (drawers or wardrobe).  Baby strollers are stored in the lobby of the first floor.
    • The museum is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal items. Please keep your valuables with you.  If you lose your belongings, please leave detailed information about the item at the information desk.
  • Persons in a state of intoxication are prohibited from entering the museum; smoking is prohibited.
  • Pets are not allowed in the museum.
  • Do not take videos or photos with a flashlight. Using tripod for taking photo is prohibited. Please do not use the photos for commercial, advertising, publishing purposes, and respect copyrights.   
  • All types of video filming (with the exception of amateur) are carried out on a paid basis, according to the current Price List for paid services and are coordinated with a representative of the museum administration.
  • Please take care of the museum as a cultural and historical object and do not touch the exhibits, except for those that are designed for this purpose (tactile exhibits)
  • Please keep the museum clean and do not leave any garbage. 
  • It is forbidden to bring drinks, water and food to the exhibition halls (except for the water bottle for personal using).
  • Dear parents and teachers, keep an eye on the children to avoid accidents.
  • In the case of large or temporary events, exhibitions, visitors are required to comply with the rules of the museum.
    • On the opening day of the exhibition, at the specified time (by invitation), admission to the exhibition is free, but if you wish to get acquainted with the exhibition halls, you will need to purchase a ticket at the ticket office. 
    • Exhibitions are open according to the museum's schedule.
