Visits to the Museum are conducted in accordance with the approved operating hours.
To enter the Museum, visitors must present an entry ticket or a document confirming eligibility for discounted or free admission.
The entry ticket must be kept until the end of the visit and shown upon request of Museum staff.
Guided tours are provided by advance booking or according to the established schedule.
Organized groups visit the Museum by prior arrangement with the administration.
It is not permitted to conduct independent tours for groups, lectures, or other activities in the exhibition halls without prior approval from the museum administration.
During major or temporary exhibitions and events, visitors must comply with the museum's rules:
On the exhibition opening day, at the specified time (by invitation), admission to the exhibition is free. However, if you wish to see the exhibition halls, you will need to purchase a ticket at the box / ticket office.
Exhibitions operate according to the museum's regular schedule.
Visitors are allowed to:
view the permanent exhibitions and temporary exhibits;
use the services of a tour guide;
approach Museum staff for consultation and necessary assistance;
use mobile phones only in silent mode.
Visitors are prohibited from:
touching museum objects, display cases, exhibition equipment, and design elements;
taking photographs, films, or videos in the exhibition, exhibit, or other premises of the Museum without written permission from the Museum administration, in accordance with paragraph 1 of Annex 16 to the Order of the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 4, 2025, No. 307-nk, "On Establishing Prices for Goods (Works, Services) Produced and Sold by Republican State Public Enterprises of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan";
making sketches, drawings, or copies of museum objects, exhibitions, and exhibits without written permission from the Museum administration, in accordance with paragraph 1 of Annex 16 to the same Order;
using tripods, monopods, drones, lighting equipment, or other specialized equipment;
crossing barriers, opening display cases, or moving museum objects and exhibition elements;
speaking loudly, running, using sound-playing devices without headphones, or engaging in actions that disturb public order or disturb other visitors;
Bringing drinks or food into the exhibition halls is prohibited (except for a personal water bottle);
smoking, using electronic cigarettes, tobacco heating systems, or other nicotine-containing products on Museum premises; being in a state of alcohol, drug, or toxic intoxication;
carrying weapons, ammunition, explosive, flammable, toxic, radioactive, or other dangerous substances and items; Bringing suitcases and any parcels larger than 40 cm into the halls is prohibited. The Museum offers free storage in a designated area (lockers or a cloakroom). Baby strollers are stored in the ground-floor lobby.
The Museum is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings. Please keep valuables with you. If you lose an item, please leave detailed information about it at the information desk.
Visiting with children:
Minor visitors visit the Museum accompanied by parents, legal guardians, or an organized group with an accompanying adult, unless otherwise arranged by the Museum administration.
Parents, legal guardians, and accompanying persons are responsible for ensuring that children comply with these Rules and for their safety.
Visitor responsibility:
Visitors are required to comply with these Rules and follow the lawful instructions of Museum staff.
Persons who violate these Rules may be removed from the Museum premises without reimbursement of the entry ticket price.
Persons who cause damage to museum objects, exhibits, equipment, or other Museum property are held liable and must compensate for the damage caused, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the event of a breach of public order, the Museum administration has the right to contact law enforcement authorities.
