15.03.2019 The exhibition “Germany is a country of inventors: the module “research”

The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Goethe-Institut Almaty, on March 15, 2019, at 4.00 pm, opens the interactive exhibition “Germany is a country of inventors: the module “research”.

Over the past years, the Central Museum in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute of Almaty repeatedly introduced Almaty residents and guests of the southern capital with exhibitions devoted to the history, culture, ecology and language programs of Germany: “From Germany, from the bottom of my heart”, “They speak German”, "Eco-thinking – learning from nature."

Goethe Institute Almaty continues the cycle of interactive multimedia exhibitions. The exhibition “Germany is a country of inventors: the module “research”, created in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Society and the Max Planck Society, has been traveling around the world for several years.

The first exhibition was held in the fall of 2015 in Berlin. Since then, exhibition travels to those cities where there are representative offices and partners of the Goethe-Institut. By March 2019, residents of 30 countries, from Indonesia to the USA, had already acquainted with the exhibition.

In the focus of the exhibition, which tells about the revolutionary inventions in the natural sciences, are both historical discoveries and innovative technologies. The witty sayings of famous scientists acquaint visitors with 7 thematic areas: computer science, energy, communication, medicine, automotive, optics and new inventions.

The materials of the exhibition “Germany is a country of inventors: the module “research” is designed primarily for young people aged 15 to 25 years. They are presented in German, with translations into Kazakh and Russian. Also, visitors will be attracted by interesting video and audio materials, media installations and interactive elements of the exhibition.

The exhibition will last until April 11, 2019

27.02.2019 The exhibition «Шежірелі нақыштар» (“Patterns of dynasty”) of the family dynasty of artists Kantarbayevs.

On February 27, 2019, at 15.00, the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan opens the exhibition «Шежірелі нақыштар» (“Patterns of dynasty”) of the family dynasty of artists Kantarbayevs.

Family is the beginning of all beginnings. Each family has its own traditions, which are passed down from generation to generation. In the Kantarbayevs family, love for creativity was instilled since childhood. “A creative person is brought up by a creative family,” is an expression related to the family dynasty of Kantarbayevs . The ability to see the beauty and subtle artistic taste was inherited by Maksat and Nurdana (sister). Maksat's father – Kantarbayev Kirgizbay Rysovich – a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and labor, graduated from KazPI named. Abay, a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, was engaged in teaching and manufacturing of applied art products, which are keeping in the State Museum of Art. A. Kasteev, Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Russian Museum of Ethnography (St. Petersburg) and others.

Adamsopiyeva Nurdana also graduated from the graphic arts faculty of the Taraz Pedagogical Institute. She worked as a teacher of fine arts, a designer, was fond of drawing on fabrics - batik (“Kazakh arulari”). And grandson Diaz Maksatuly instilled a love for creativity from early childhood. Received an art education in school. T. Zhurgenov and in Almaty College named after O. Tansykbaev, he manifests himself in painting and drawing.

Kantarbayev Maksat was born and raised in the city of Jambul. In 1988 he graduated from the graphic arts faculty of KazPI named after Abay, and celebrates his 50th birthday this year. He began his career as a teacher of fine arts at the art school of the village of Kogershin, T. Ryskulov district, then worked as a methodologist for fine arts in the Lugovoe district department of public education, opened an art school in the village of Lugovoe, Zhambyl region, and a small enterprise “Oner”.

M. Kantarbayev – artist of landscape genre, paints with watercolors and oil colors, enjoys hot batik, wood carving. Nothing inspires an artist to creativity like wildlife. Therefore, like all painters, Maksat works in the open-airs, using every opportunity to find himself in nature, where he develops his painting skills. The artist is in constant search, does not stop at what has been accomplished – hence the new motives and their embodiment in new creative works. He creates a holistic, organic, multi-colored world that fills with household items, flowers, trees, fruits, always perfect in their forms. When creating his paintings, the author pays great attention to color, which clearly characterizes his particular style, unique handwriting and his manner. The bright and rich palette of his canvases fascinates, stops and attracts the viewer's gaze for a long time with a unique color variety. In all his works there is always a sincere love for life with all its fullness and diversity, passion for the topic, expression of his inner world and time, as well as joy and delight from the contemplation of the richness of nature. So, the author's works are interesting, reflecting the nature of Kazakhstan and the views of Almaty: the mountain panorama of Ushkonyr, the Turgen gorge, the Charyn canyons, “Alatau”, “Kulan”, “Turgen”, residential complex “Nurly tau”, triptych “Khan Tengri” , "Forest House", "Baum Grove". Winter landscapes of the master “Winter Mountains”, “Batan Gorge”, “Medeo”, etc. are especially delightful.

Master also works in the portrait genre. Respect and sympathy are imbued with portraits of older people who have lived a long difficult life, but have retained kindness and love for others, including: "Apashka" (Granny), "Portrait of Father", "Portrait of D.A. Konayev", etc.

Kantarbayev Maksat – the participant of many exhibitions, was awarded with letters of thanks and diplomas. The master's works are in private collections and museums in Moscow, Astana, Almaty, Taraz and Taldykorgan.

The exhibition presents more than 80 works of the master.

The exhibition will run until March 14, 2019.

14.03.2019 The photo exhibition “The Way of the Deer”.

The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Consulate General of Hungary in Almaty on March 14,  2019 at 16.00, opens the photo exhibition “The Way of the Deer”.

For many years, the Central Museum has been actively developing cooperation with the Consulate General of Hungary in Almaty. In recent years, Almaty residents and guests of the southern capital have already acquainted with exhibitions reflecting aspects of the history and culture of Hungary: “The Feast of Hungarian Science”, “Hungarian Orientalists”.

In 2019, the Consulate General of Hungary will present the works of the famous photo artist Odon Blaumann, educated as a professional hunter and who, by the nature of his work, was fascinated by the beauty and greatness of the wildlife of his homeland. Since 2000, he began making films about wild animals.

In his collection – 55 DVD movies that are successful in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. In Hungary, his films are broadcast on the channel Fishing-Hunting. In addition, he made professional educational films for hunting schools and advertising for hunting companies. As O. Blaumann notes: “Photographing and filming the wildlife is my life with love and humility. Every moment in nature amazes with its perfection, and the fact that I can fix these moments are a real miracle for me.” The personal exhibitions of Odon Blaumann were held in the major cities of Hungary – Budapest, Szekesfehervar, Papa, Pecs, Zirc, and also abroad: in Germany (Dortmund), Austria (Salzburg). His works decorated the covers of hunting magazines, the hunting newsletter (PIRSCH, WILD und Hund), calendars of various kinds, were published in newspapers, books.

The exhibition “The Way of the Deer” is dedicated to the memory of rare, hoofed deer-like animals that migrated 10–15 million years ago from Central Asia to Europe and other continents. Their life harmoniously intertwined with the Hungarian nature and had a positive effect on the results of hunting. Hungary has one of the best herds in world comparison, which includes red deer (Cervus Elaphus, gímszarvas), fallow deer (Dama Dama, dámszarvas) and European roe deer (Capreolus capreolus, európai őz).

65 works of photographer Odon Blaumann introduce the nature and wildlife of Hungary. A short film specially made for this event will be shown to visitors.

The exhibition contributes to the strengthening of cultural ties between Hungary and Kazakhstan.

The exhibition is organized with the support of Technodom Operator JSC (Technodom Operator).

11.02.2019 The exhibition “Afghanistan hurts in my soul”

On February 11, 2019, at 15.00, the exhibition “Afghanistan hurts in my soul” will be opened at the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

The Afghan war began in 1979 and lasted for 10 years.

In total, about 620 thousand servicemen of the USSR passed through Afghanistan, 22 thousand of whom were from Kazakhstan.15526 people died during fighting, from wounds and diseases, including 924 people from Kazakhstan.

Missing and captured were 333 people (according to the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR), 21 of whom are from Kazakhstan.

The war in Afghanistan did not bring either honor or glory to the Soviet Union. For the relatives and friends of those who died, this war did not end with the withdrawal of troops on February 15, 1989. It remains a bleeding wound that even time cannot heal. The experience of these events teaches that every country and nation should decide their internal affairs on their own, based on the benefits and benefits of their people. After all, soldiers died on the battlefields, and not those who incite the war and profit from it.

The aim of the exhibition is to form an objective view of the Afghan war, patriotic education of a new generation of soldiers and youth on the example of soldiers and officers who fought in Afghanistan, as well as forming the idea that war is not a way to solve political problems.

The exposition was based on documentary materials (photographs, letters, eyewitness accounts and participants of the events), awards and personal belongings of soldiers and officers - Kazakhstani who fought in Afghanistan, both dead and survivors who fulfilled their military duty with honor. Of particular interest to visitors of the exhibition will be a demonstration of military equipment of Soviet soldiers and officers, as well as the Afghan "Dushman".

On the day of the exhibition presentation you will be able to meet with the participants of the war in Afghanistan.

The exhibition was prepared jointly with the City Coordination Council of public associations of veterans and disabled people of the war in Afghanistan and local military conflicts at the Almaty city administration.
