The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the framework of many years of cooperation with the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Center for Culture and Education of Egypt in Almaty, September 18, 2019 at 15.00 opens the exhibition "Treasures of Egypt".

the exhibition "Treasures of Egypt".Since 1992, fruitful diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK) and the Arab Republic of Egypt (ARE) have been maintained at all levels - political, economic, cultural, etc., based on mutual understanding and respect. As part of the intensification of cultural cooperation between the two countries in 1996, the Egyptian Cultural Center was opened as one of the main divisions of the Embassy of Egypt in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2015, by order of the Minister of Higher Education and Culture of Egypt, the Center was renamed the Center for Culture and Education of Egypt at the Embassy of Egypt in the Republic of Kazakhstan. One of the objectives of the Center is to popularize the history and culture of Egypt through the organization and holding of exhibitions.

Egyptian civilization is the oldest world civilization, the main achievements of which were the invention of hieroglyphs, the emergence of the science of mathematics, the development of industry, the construction of magnificent structures (pyramids), the invention of irrigation technologies, effective farming methods, etc. Numerous historical and cultural monuments of Egypt have survived to the present day.

Today, Egyptian culture plays a crucial role in the foreign policy of this state, reflecting the nature of society and its existence, as well as defining cultural elements such as language, literature, religion, history, customs, etc.

The exhibition presents valuable objects of museum significance, reflecting the history of the dynasty of the pharaohs, household items, products from papyrus, leather, metal, wood, as well as modern products of decorative and applied and calligraphic art, including sculptural figures of the Gods, ancient lamps, kumgans, jugs, decorative vases, plates of metal and wood, caskets inlaid with mother-of-pearl and bone, paintings depicting ancient necropolises and gods, and much more.

The exhibition will be opened by the Attache for Culture, Director of the Center for Culture and Education of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Ms. Randa Mahmoud Rizk.

The exhibition runs until September 30, 2019.
